What craziness around here today...catching horses, cleaning, riding, cleaning, and then releasing the same horse back to pasture for the rest of the weekend. It is great to spend time with the family and animals. Learning a lot about taking care of horses - who knew?!?

Horse riding and Navasota!
Quite a fun weekend...riding lessons on Saturday and a family trip to Navasota for part of the day on Sunday. The exploring is fun and you never know what you might find along the way. Antique stores, Dairy Queen, the VFW Post, and a few spots in between. Get out and see Texas! Enjoy!

A trip up north this morning to visit Huntsville, Texas - home to Sam Houston State University and one of the largest prison systems in the country! A great day for exploring and spending time with the family. A great photography project while we had a blast looking at the enormous statue of Sam Houston. If you are driving north of Houston you can't miss it!
A little lens flare...
A quote written at the base of this statue....
"The great misfortune is that a notion obtains with those in power that the World, or the people, require more governing than is necessary. To govern well is a great science, but no country is ever improved by too much governing...most men think when they are elevated to position, that it requires an effort to discharge their duties, and they leave common sense out of the question."
A timely quote from the mid 1800's that still rings true today!

And the fun begins!
We are so excited about this project! We have considered starting AdamElaine Photography for many years and we finally jumped in! This is really just a hobby - but now it has a purpose. We look forward to updating this blog with our most recent projects as well as to update everyone on the Barnabas Project (which is really what all of this is about!). Barnabas was known as an "encourager". Through the Barnabas Project we want to encourage families in need through photography. Photographs last a lifetime and we look forward to working with families that need encouragement, and to provide them professional quality photographs of their family - free of charge. More to come on this exciting project!
We also launched our website today - visit us at: AdamElaine.com. We will continue to make improvements to our site but look forward to hearing from you.
